About
East Anglian Fruit Farm was founded in 1969, prior to then Dirk’s father Klaas farmed in the north of Holland. He chose to move to East Anglia after their home farm was compulsory purchased by the local council, he loved the UK having worked here in the 1950’s and decided to make it his home
He started with 16 acres of ploughed, three children and a mobile home, he planted Cox pollinated with Spartan and Discovery selling his fruit direct into Spitalfields and Western international.
Dirk joined the business in 1985 after completing his degree in bio-chemistry, he didn’t originally intend to be a farmer!
The farm is now 50acres and grows Gala, Braeburn and Cox
