Harvesting apples and pears offers a great opportunity to work outside during the late summer months when the British countryside is at its most glorious. Our growers’ farms are spread out across Kent, Sussex, East Anglia and Hampshire and the outlook from these beautiful orchards beats any office view that we have seen!

The harvest season usually runs from August until November and during this period you could earn good money by working in the great outdoors whilst getting fit, meeting new people and learning new skills. And why not invite your friends to apply with you so that you can all work together on the same farm?

Contracts are flexible and the picking requirement varies across farms so you may not need to be available for the duration of the harvest season. All of our growers are committed to paying at least the National Living Wage, regardless of your age, and by working hard you may well be able to earn in excess of this.

Most of our farms are able to provide accommodation if required and have good on-site facilities such as kitchens, laundry and Wi-Fi.

Please be aware that main harvesting operations will not be starting until late August/September. Harvesting work will be picking apples and pears by hand; our farms have invested in a range of labour supporting technology to assist their workers and therefore tasks may vary slightly between orchards.

Employees’ health, safety and well-being is of upmost importance to us and our growers and full training and inductions will be given to all staff, whether new starters or those returning to work for another season. We also work closely with the Association of Labour Providers (ALP) and the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) to ensure that our employees are protected and exploitation is prevented.
